Solar-Powered Timepieces

Sol by Shin Azumi Converts the Sun's Energy into Power to Tell Time

Designer Shin Azumi has created the Sol watch for IDEA, a Japanese brand. This timepiece was influenced by Azumi's love for the outdoors and his interest in spending time underneath the sun's rays. Because of the amount of time he's spent outdoors, Shin Azumi therefore had an idea to incorporate solar-power technology into his watch designs.

The Sol design is simplistic, reminiscent of the classic display on calculators. I would definitely wear this Shin Asumi watch during the summer months as it's available in an array of bright summer colors.
