Caterham Unveils the Limited Edition Seven HWM Edition

Caterham Cars introduced the Seven HWM Edition, a limited-run variant created with Hersham and Walton Motors (HWM) that revives a 1951 racing aesthetic, featuring HWM Green paint and Alta-inspired exterior details. The model was produced as a 19-unit UK series and was built on Caterham's Seven 420 platform, combining classic styling cues with modern engineering.

Inside, the cockpit references period racecraft with a hand-turned aluminum SuperSprint dash, SMITHS chrome dials, a Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel and options for leather or lightweight racing seats, plus a numbered plaque marking each car.

Mechanically it kept contemporary performance: a naturally aspirated 2.0L Duratec four-cylinder making about 210 hp, a five-speed manual and a ~375 hp/ton power-to-weight ratio, delivering a driver-focused experience that links vintage motorsport storytelling to present-day lightweight performance trends.
