New SENSE Magazine Editorial Exhibits a Street-Wise Retro Style

The 2013 Spring/Summer collection from Supreme, featured in SENSE magazine, encompasses a wide array of retro fashions, from 90s hip-hop culture to Dean Martin-esque suave. Regardless of the inspiration behind each piece, every outfit exudes a sort of grunge couture.

One ensemble features a cherry-red Hawaiian shirt, while another depicts the model wearing an oversized hoodie and slanting baseball cap. These outfits could be worn on the street in any casual setting, but when combined with the vibrant photography from Japan’s SENSE magazine, the result is one of streetwise haute couture.

Each photograph is highly saturated, making the brightly colored Supreme ensembles pop off the page. The model’s brooding stare gives the viewer the sensation of being overwhelmed with temperature, both from the photos’ settings and the vibrancy of the outfits.

This is only a preview of the collection to follow from Supreme, but it’s clear that the collection will be both grungy and vibrant, brooding and bright.
