The Royal Hotel Debuts Sleep-Focused Turndown Service and Menu

The Royal Hotel in Prince Edward County has introduced a comprehensive turndown service that transforms guest rooms into sleep sanctuaries each evening. The complimentary service includes drawn curtains, dimmed lighting, a lit fireplace, and herbal tisane placed bedside. Each turndown also provides access to an exclusive guided sleep meditation recorded by Reiki practitioner Dr. Krista Van Slingerland, designed specifically for the hotel.

The new Sleep + Wellness Menu extends these offerings with customizable options for enhanced rest. Guests can select from bath and shower amenities including locally-made Telford Basics products from Picton, Bathorium soaks and steamers, and Comfort Zone Tranquility Oil. Room enhancements range from Saje diffusers with calming essential oils to specialized pillows designed for different sleep positions—medium-firm down for side sleepers, hypoallergenic microfibre for back sleepers, and low-profile options for stomach sleepers.

Additional touches include lavender pillow mist, therapy lamps with white noise capabilities, hot water bottles, and herbal teas, creating a layered approach to nighttime comfort that addresses multiple aspects of quality rest.
