ByteDance, which is the parent company of TikTok launches the new Ripple app, which is designed to help users make music more seamlessly. Users are able to compost and edit music that they can then use and apply to their content. Currently, it is only available to use in the US and is under testing within a closed beta environment.
ByteDance notes that it is meant to help creators in the same way that portable smart digital audio workstations are able to, but from an angle that is more beginner-friendly. Ripple helps create songs in multiple genres using only a melody that the user hums. The app leads users to hum into their phones and then generates instrumentals that can be used.
