Rick Owens and Birkenstock Dropped Two New Sandal Silhouettes

Rick Owens and Birkenstock worked in collaboration for the second time to drop two sandal silhouettes that draw design elements from both labels. The partnership introduces the latest iteration of the Rotterhiker model and the Rotterdam Velcro model. The Rotterdam Velcro is a sandal design whereas the Rotterhiker represents more of a boot -- both the footwear pieces are made in a selection of colorway options, which all are done in gray and black to recall the aesthetics of Rick Owens.

The Rotterhiker model is constructed using velour leather for its beige option and oiled nubuck for its black option. The upper strap sees a metal buckle for an easy enclosure and it sits on top of a clear rubber sole along the signature Birkenstock footbed, all of which is tied together with a logo strap to contrast. The Rotterdam also sees a strap fastening but on its front and a multicolored logo strap with extension along with a speckled classic footbed.
