For specific products like smartphones and makeup, YouTube has become relied upon for honest reviews to be seen. Other countless blogs and websites also exist, but sifting through these requires research and this can often take a long time. A new free video platform called 'Picky' now allows users to upload short videos of them testing or providing their opinion. Picky is attempting to create a go-to place for reviewing consumer products.
Picky has a policy that states the product being reviewed must appear in the video, making for a more authentic consumer experience. Reviewers then post a minute-long video, with a short description and hashtags so others can easily find the specific product review.
