AI-Powered Dental Billing

Sensei and Zentist Automate EOB and Denial Management

AI-powered dental billing is helping practices reduce manual administrative work by automating insurance remittance and claim denial workflows. Sensei, a Carestream Dental brand, has partnered with Zentist to make Remit AI available across Sensei Cloud and legacy Carestream Dental practice management systems. The platform centralizes EOB and ERA information from 160 payers, with broader access through its clearinghouse network, while using AI to categorize claim denials and identify underlying reasons. Billing teams can then prioritize follow-up without navigating numerous payer portals.

The partnership gives dental practices a more centralized way to manage insurance revenue while potentially reducing time spent on repetitive billing tasks. For Sensei, integrating specialized automation expands the capabilities available to existing customers without requiring them to replace their practice management systems. Zentist, meanwhile, gains access to independent practices, multi-location groups and DSOs through Carestream Dental’s established customer ecosystem.
