In an effort to combat fast fashion, sustainable brand Everlane launched the Re:Down Reversible Puffer that's made from recycled down and feathers. The coat's shell is made with 100 percent recycled polyester taken from 12 renewed plastic bottles boasts a water-resistant shell. Moreover, the Re:Down Reversible Puffer is ultra-warm yet lightweight and its compact design allows it to be compressed into a smaller size, making it easily transportable or function as a travel pillow.
Everlane is committed to transparency in pricing and shows consumers the cost of the materials, hardware, labor, transportation, and duties. In the Re:Down Reversible Puffer's case, the true cost in creating it was $87.92, however, Everlane sells it at $220 compared to the $444 a traditional retailer would price it at.
