Rebecca Naen Captures Island-Themed Couture

— August 30, 2012 — Fashion
Photographer Rebecca Naen's latest editorial channels hipster Hawaiian apparel. Featured in the 23rd issue of online magazine The Ones2Watch New Wave, 'Hackney Goes Hawaiian' shows a chic way to rock the island-themed print. Using the North London borough Hackney as an urban backdrop, Naen uses fashion to add a touch of tropical.

Unlike your dad's tacky Hawaiian shirt, the Aloha pattern fashion featured in this shoot is subdued on the model. Though there is still a use of bold patterning, it's still sophisticated using a form-flattering cut and assembled adorably by stylist Aartthie Mahakuperan. The look is then finished off with the model's contemporary coif featuring blunt bangs and a dramatic ombre style.
