AI-Powered Longevity Tracking

Apple Introduces Health Age and Personalized Longevity Tracking

Apple is expanding AI-powered longevity tracking with new Apple Watch sensing capabilities and a redesigned Health app built around Apple Intelligence. A new Longevity tab analyzes long-term data spanning heart health, sleep, movement, metabolic health, mental wellbeing, hearing, and nutrition. Its Health Age feature compares metrics such as VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and HRV with a user’s chronological age, while optional lab results can provide additional context.

For Apple, combining longitudinal analysis with data from its devices can deepen the role of its ecosystem in everyday health management. The Health app can incorporate information from iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, clinical records, and third-party sources, creating a more comprehensive personal health platform. Features such as at-home movement assessments and purchasable lab testing also expand Apple’s reach beyond passive tracking toward more proactive health experiences.
