The Radiation Detection Hardware Network is a website with an objective to provide an aggregated feed of nuclear radiation information in Japan from all available sources. The Network -- otherwise known as RDHN and who can be found at safecast.org -- used the Kickstarted platform to reach its funding objective (if you like the idea behind the project, you are still encouraged to donate whatever you can to this good cause).
The Radiation Detection Hardware Network came about after the devastating tsunami and earthquake in Japan that nearly led to a nuclear catastrophe. The information collected will be available for everyone, including experts who will be able to understand the situation better and provide more context for people affected in the future.
