The new Qualcomm snapdragon 855 Plus was designed to provide more power and a few minor changes than the previous version. The first notable change is the faster clock speed. The plus model can run at 2.96 GHz, which is a slight increase in performance. Other updates also include the Adreno 650 GPU, which the company indicates will result in a 15% performance bump in the chip. The performance increases will be seen the most with devices that require it, like users who engage in a lot of mobile gaming.
The company has stated that the first devices that will have the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 plus will be released in the second half of 2019. One of the models included will be the ASUSU ROG Phone II.
