The PressReader app will have more customizable features, as a result of the company purchasing News360. The PressReader app offers users news content in a digital form and provides over 7,00 publications to the platform. Recently, PressReader acquired News360, where terms of the agreement were not made public.
News360 is a news aggregation app that was founded in 2010. PressReader purchased the platform in order to use News360's NativeAI analytics technology, which can be implemented to provide more customization to the Pressreader platform. The PressReader CEO, Alex Kroogman, indicates that the company looks to build a data system that is built around content analytics.
With more customization to the PressReader platform, users could get more access to stories that they are interested in. This would provide users with a more engaging news consumption experience.
