Lara Stone Stars in the Porter Magazine #3 Summer 2014 Issue

— June 10, 2014 — Pop Culture
Lara Stone stars in the 'Heart of Gold' editorial for Porter Magazine's #3 Summer 2014 issue.

They say you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl, a fact proven by Stone's insistence on keeping her cowboy boots (and hat!) on, even while dressed in a series of itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, multi-printed string bikini's chosen by fashion editor Melanie Ward. Even the editorial's title, 'Heart of Gold,' could be in reference to Neil Young's country-folk song of the same name. It's certainly possible that Stone "crossed the ocean searching for a heart of gold," as her eyes appear to betray a quiet sense of longing. I don't see any strapping young ranch hands around to keep her company, but here's hoping.

The editorial was lensed by talented photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.
