MAD's 'Shall We Selfie Together' Workshop Turns Selfies into Jewelry

'Shall We Selfie Together' is an exhibit at New York City's Museum of Art and Design (MAD) that turns selfies into photo jewelry. When these kinds of photos are shared on social media, they have a tendency to disappear pretty quickly, or not have many other uses other than capturing a memory, place or time.

Inspired by a previous photo jewelry collection that were displayed, the museum decided to host the 'Editions of You: Workshops in Photo Jewelry," which helped people to turn their selfies into useful, wearable pieces of art in the form of bracelets, pendants and charms. Plus, after making a unique jewelry piece, what better way to capture the event that to pose with your creation for a photo?
