Edgy Revamped Menswear

Perry Ellis' Spring 2013 Line Gets Madeover

Perry Ellis' Spring 2013 collection brings forth the fruits of the label's latest revamping process. Although the team aimed to retain Ellis' authenticity, designers Duckie Brown, Steven Cox and Daniel Silver infused new thought into the menswear pieces.

In contrast to Perry Ellis' nautical preppy boy style, the Spring 2013 lot opts for a grungy street-chic feel. Rounded caps are reminiscent of 1940s locomotive looks. These classic accessories were shaken up with mesh t-shirts and leather lace-up shoes, bare necessities for stylish city dwellers. Practical blazers also make the set versatile as they can be incorporated into daytime looks, suitable for work or pleasure.

By accommodating an array of scenarios, the Perry Ellis overhaul has made its line more accessible and relevant to the public.
