Nvidia Corp., an American multinational technology company based in California, has announced the launch of its new Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin developer kit, a powerful and compact AI supercomputer designed to power autonomous robots and machines. The new tech was announced during the Nvidia GTC conference.
Set to disrupt the robotics industry, the new Jetson AGX Orin features an Nvidia A100 graphics processing unit and multiple Arm Cortex-A78AE central processing units. In addition, it comes equipped with the company's newest deep learning algorithms and vision accelerators. As a result, the supercomputer can deliver 275 trillion operations per second, which is eight times more than its predecessor, the Nvidia Jetson AGX Xavier.
“Combined with Nvidia pretrained AI models, frameworks like TAO toolkit and Isaac on Omniverse, and supported by the Jetson developer community and its partner ecosystem, Jetson AGX Orin offers a scalable AI platform with unmatched resources that make it easy to adapt to almost any application,” said TIRIAS Research analyst Jim McGregor.
