Blackened Automotive Watches

The Union Glashütte Noramis Date Petro Surf 2026 Nods to Fuchs Wheels

Union Glashütte introduced the Noramis Date Limited Edition Petro Surf 2026 as a 200-piece mechanical watch tied to the Petro Surf Festival on Sylt, Germany. The stainless steel watch uses a dial modeled after the five-spoke Fuchs wheels associated with early Porsche 911 models, Volkswagen Beetles, and beach buggies. Black PVD-coated spoke structures rise from a matte black dial surface alongside screw-like detailing inspired by wheel nuts, while a black date display is positioned at 6 o’clock.

The watch measures 40 millimeters wide with a 10.4-millimeter case thickness and incorporates a domed sapphire crystal, polished steel construction, and a black leather strap with a folding clasp. Union Glashütte equipped the model with its automatic UNG-07.S1 movement based on the ETA 2892 architecture, adding a silicon balance spring and a 60-hour power reserve operating at 3.5Hz.
