New Power Studio Pairs Hard Hats With Their 2011 Menswear Collection

It's common to see a quirky runway look at London Fashion Week, but one accessory this year made everyone stand at attention. The oddball honors go to the New Power Studio hats that models donned while debuting the Autumn/Winter 2011 menswear collection, with anatomical pieces of a naughtier design. The bold, brazen label took a step in a brave direction, taking an unconventional approach to fashion.

The labels designer, Thom Murphy, was inspired by bachelor/bachelorette parties and pre-Lent carnivals hoping the breast-shaped berets, phallic fedoras, and the collection as a whole, would evoke a sense of fleeting freedom. If wearing those PVC New Power Studio hats with confidence doesn't scream "free," then I don't know what does!
