The New Hollywood Project recognizes the fact that entertainment has become more accessible than ever before.

Celebrities are now active on social media, offering their fans (and critics) an intimate look at their behind-the-scenes lives. Nowadays, you can peruse Rihanna's Instagram, before thumbing through Katy Perry's Twitter and reading about Taylor Swift's latest relationship drama in UsWeekly. Needless to say, this wasn't the case during the "Golden Age of Cinema," a time period where celebrities weren't just celebrities, but icons, and their personal lives were shrouded in mystery and allure.

This project takes the most familiar entertainer we have -- the YouTube Star, just a regular guy or gal who happened to shoot to viral fame -- and photographs them in the glamorous context of Old Hollywood.
