'Cove' is a musical diary app that uses soothing sounds to help users sort through their feelings. For many people, keeping a diary is an excellent way to help capture and express the emotions they experience on a daily basis. However, sometimes words are not enough to process complex emotions.
Cove is designed to provide users with a different way to keep track of their thoughts. The musical diary app was designed by the studio 'Humane Engineering' as a means of helping users capture and express emotions in a new way. To use the app, users begin by choosing one of four basic moods: calm, playful, longing or struggling. The mood the user selects determines the backdrop for creating an emotion-based song. Users can then experiment with various features to create different notes and cords. When the song is complete, users can then add a written note explaining their feelings.
Cove ultimately provides a platform for each user to become the composer of their own emotional landscape.
