Google has added movie swipes in order to help users find movies to watch. This feature functions much like many dating apps where users can indicate if they interested in a movie or not by swiping either left or right. As users cycle through more content, the system will be better able to recommend movies based on previous swipes.
Users will also be able to select a specific genre to swipe through, or users can alternatively select a time period. Both genre and time period filter can also be applied together to hyper-focus a search. If users select a movie, they will then be presented with a card that displays the various streaming services in which the movie is available. Users can also indicate which streaming services they subscribe to only get results for content they can stream.
