The Moto Pogo is a one-wheeled electric scooter developed by Montreal-based entrepreneur Carl Dagenais. The contraption is similar to a Segway in that users move forward by leaning their bodies forward and slow down by leaning back. The vehicle is equipped by gyroscopic sensors and accelerometers that ensure that the rider is centered above the wheel at all times. The vehicle subtly adjusts its speed to compensate for the rider's shifting center of mass.
The vehicle is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, with a pledge of around $1,790 getting your hands on one, with the eventual retail price set to be around $2,035. Considering its full aluminum frame, front and rear LED lighting and regenerative braking capacity, that seems like a pretty reasonable price.
