Moschino’s Cheap & Chic Spring 14 Lookbook is one of the most colorful and fun collections I’ve seen yet this season. The label transformed an East End warehouse into a tropical paradise, complete with a sunny palm tree backdrop, kitschy inflatable beach balls and flamingos, as well as lawn chairs. The models wore loud fashions: colorfully emblazoned tee shirts that screamed “MUSE” or “PARTY,” round retro sunglasses, feathered accessories and vibrantly patterned pantsuits.
Nothing was off-limits for this outrageously entertaining, Malibu Barbie-inspired lookbook. My favorite piece carried the Flamingo theme: a pink flamingo pantsuit, complete with fluffy, feathered pink stilettos and a matching flamingo purse. Another fun look featured plastic lime green suits with white trim worn over white bathing suits and accessorized with chunky platforms. The Moschino Cheep & Chic Spring 14 Lookbook is definitely for anyone who enjoys over-the-top flamboyance (and flamingos).
