New Balance launched the ML850YSC earlier this month and it pays homage to the original BL 850 that made its original debut back in 1996 before streetwear imprint Aime Leon Dore revived the model once again this summer. The original model was one of the label's first intentional design targeting the younger demographic, breaching the concept of a 'dad shoe.'
The construction of the shoe features a paneling concept, with graphic details in black, blue, white, and yellow. Notably, one of the standout features of the model is that the 'N' emblem is replaced with the iconic 'NB' branding instead. The uppers are made from leather and suede materials in an overlaying manner to add a strong texture. It sits on a white midsole and black outsole to round out the entire piece.
