While there are lots of mindfulness program apps out there, this mobile platform helps those suffering chronic pain with their pain management. The Ella smartphone application was created in partnership with medical professionals at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, so people living with pain can manage their stress.
Ella's mindfulness program involves short breath awareness exercises that when completed daily, are supposed to decrease sensitivity to pain and lower stress from dealing with the condition of chronic pain. Ella is completely online, so you can participate from wherever you are. The startup wants you to know you are not alone, so you join a class of 10 to 25 others. Together you perform the mindfulness exercises with guidance from your certified coach.
