Ultramarathon Trail Footwear

The Merrell SpeedARC Peak Was Developed Through a Five-Year Process

The Merrell SpeedARC Peak sneakers have made their debut as the brand's latest entrant to the pro-grade footwear category to help wearers perform by leveraging the capabilities of advanced gear.

The footwear was developed over the course of a five-year innovation process by the Merrell Test Lab (MTL) and influenced by feedback from professional athletes. The shoes went through 154 prototypes and were evaluated across 13,000 miles, while also taking into account lab validation information and athletic feedback. The sneakers thus feature the SpeedARC midsole, a base layer of FloatPro foam and a lightweight Carbon Fiber FlexPlate.

The Merrell SpeedARC Peak sneakers will be showcased at the UTMB Ultra-Trail® Village in Vielha and the UTMB Ultra-Trail® Village in Chamonix to showcase the sneaker's capabilities.
