Travel equipment designer Matador has announced the launch of its brand new 'Advanced Series' luggage, a line of five high-performing bags built to meet the needs of backpacking adventurers. The collection includes the 'Freerain Waterproof Packable Backpack' in 22 and 28L sizes, the 'Freefly Packable Duffle,' and the 'Freefly Waterproof Hip Pack.'
Each unit comes equipped with high-wear panels supported by UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) -- a unique fiber that boasts a seven times greater strength-to-weight ratio than steel. In addition, the fabric has been coated with a specialty UTS material to improve weather resistance, waterproofing, and overall durability.
The 'Freerain' backpacks and 'Free Fly' duffles include various mountain climbing-ready features such as shock cord captures and gear loops. Meanwhile, the 'Freefly Waterproof Packable Hip Pack' intends to function as a handy accessory boasting a compact storage space perfect for on-the-go items.
