Manel Rodriguez is a photographer based in Lagos, Portugal with a wide variety of interests. He shoots everything from landscape design to fashion to fine arts. This eclectic palette is clearly seen in this recent series of his, aptly titled 'Fashion Colors.'
Though most fashion shoots aim to showcase clothing or cosmetics, this series is all about the model and movement.
It focuses on model Joana Reis covered in colorful body paint, striking motion-filled poses.
The colors themselves are thoughtfully picked out and arranged; each hue contrasts with and complements the overall theme. For instance, swaths of blue and white smear their way along Reis's face and body in such a way as to emphasize her movements and poses while not overshadowing them. Manel Rodriguez deserves credit for this striking yet well balanced effect.
