The Mambacita Sweet 16 Colorway Honors the Late Gianna Bryant

Nike unveiled the 'Mambacita Sweet 16' colorway for its 'Nike Kobe 6 Protro' silhouette. This sneaker is being released around what would have been Gianna Bryant's 16th birthday, leading to the Sweet 16 name. As such, there are several nods to both Koby and Gianna throughout the sneaker. The names Kobe and Gigi are written on the heels, the shoe features the number 2, which was Gianna's amateur league number, and the sole of the shoe features the number 2 with angel wings and a halo.

As for the design of the sneaker itself, it is adorned in Mambacita's signature snake scale pattern derived from the Black Mamba snake. It features a white Nike Swoosh on the upper and a spotted skin insole.
