LoveBook is a new website that aims to harness the power of Facebook's marketing platform to find you a significant other. The idea is brilliantly simple: Why join a dating site when you can launch a targeted Facebook ad? For a small fee (a marketing budget) LoveBook's team will create an advertisement about you targeted at people who share similar interests.

LoveBook's price point appears to be $15 and it's not known how much of a cut the service takes. Those who have advertised on Facebook know that you have to be specific with your targeting when working with a budget that small. Still, the idea is highly original and could signal a new shift in online dating. Why create a new community of people when you can advertise singles in an already established one?
