Danner works in collaboration with Lightning Magazine on a new set of boots as the publication dives into the footwear brand to re-launch the signature 8068 model. Notably, the boot is limited to only 200 pieces made, reviving the model that originally launched in 1979 with updates noticed at the structure.
The cut is much taller, raised by 8 inches instead of the original 6 inches. Lightning Magazine describes the update as the ‘Golden Ratio,’ deeming the new structure as the ideal boot height measurement to the pant leg roll. The footwear is made from a premium Horween leather material blended together with Cordura, fiberglass shank, and a full GORE-TEX lining for full stability and durability. It sits on top of a Vibram ‘Kletterlift’ outsole to round out the entire collaborative design.
