The LG Finestra is an Interactive Mobile Docking Station

Here's hoping that the smartphone dock of the future looks something like the LG Finestra. The LG Finestra is a conceptual docking station created by Kairi Eguchi Design to let phone owners interact with their device once it has been docked.

The LG Finestra projects the content of your smartphone onto the frame while docked. The device also projects a keyboard to make it easier to navigate through your phone. Most mobile phone docks designed today either play music or simply charge as they cradle your phone. Interactive docks could be the way of the future as consumers are constantly trying to do more with their phones. The Finestra is currently a concept, but it may be close to becoming a reality as it won the 2011 LG Mobile Design Competition.
