Apple introduces the new Level Lock+ made by Level Home, which is a special electric lock that is connected to Apple's Home app. The lock itself is powered by a battery and features everything that is required for self-installation, from the throw to the deadbolt. It does not require a fingerprint reader or a keypad that initiates a password.
Users are actually encouraged to add their own digital key to the HomeKey section of the Home app on their phones. This enables them to unlock the device through either their iPhones or Apple Watches. The device also stores the digital key in the Wallet app as well and it can also be programmed to activate the lock once users are nearby.
