Architecture-Designed Luxury Perfume Bottles

Gehry Created Louis Vuitton's Les Extraits Bottles

Les Extraits is Louis Vuitton's newest perfume. Distilled by perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, the fragrances are contained in intricately designed bottles. Frank Gehry, a renowned architect, designed the vessel for the groundbreaking collection of luxury perfumes.

The collection of scents is set to launch this October 2021. Les Extraits includes five new fragrances by the brand's master perfumer. Cavallier-Belletrud and Gehry collaborated to create a unique design chapter in their respective industries. For the skilled perfumer, this meant creating a scent without top, heart, or base notes. Gehry's challenge was to capture the perfumes' new forms in a visual counterpart. The bottles mimic a sail colliding in a mass of wind-swept lines to echo a sense of movement.
