Lena Corwin has illustrated a cute book called MAPS that features different cities from all around the world. The cities include Athens, Miami, Santa Fe and Tokyo. There are 20 maps from the United States and 20 from different countries.
Lena Corwin started the project back in 2004, when she illustrated a different city map each month for an interior design magazine. Her brother in-law suggested that she create a book dedicated to her maps.
The 40 maps are cartoonlike and represent some of Lena Corwin's favorite places. The maps are inspired by old vintage books mixed with childlike fantasy. The maps are surprisingly accurate and very precise. Ten of the maps within the book have interviews with shop owners from the featured city.
