La Pizzateca is perhaps one of the greatest businesses no one has ever heard of. La Pizzateca is a combination bookshop and pizzeria located in Madrid's Bario de las Letras.
Spanish publisher ES Ediciones is the mastermind behind the brilliant La Pizzateca. I guess it only makes sense that a publishing company would be behind one of the greatest innovations in bookshop history. What other bookstore would offer a book and a slice of pizza for five Euros?
The bookstore as you know it seems to be on the verge of extinction. With bankruptcies and major store shutdowns, it is only a matter of time until all books are bought online. It is nice to see a publishing house step in with an original idea to try and save this fledgling industry. Now, if only we had a La Pizzateca in America...
