The 'Kiss of a Spider Woman' photo series is inspired by Tim Burton films such as 'Beetlejuice,' 'Corpse Bride' and 'Sleepy Hollow.' These cult classics have been translated from the big screen to quirky and dark fashion ensembles. From spiralling hypnotic glasses to arachnid accessories, the looks are eerie and eccentric.
Shot by photographer Katriena Emmanuel, the Kiss of a Spider Woman photo shoot showcases the bespoke fashion collection of Rebecca Cobbing. The theatrical gowns are embellished with black ruffles, fishtail stripes and seductive mesh fitting for Burton's leading ladies. In this case, the leading lady is model Caity Sanderson. She does a fantastic job channeling her inner glam Goth with the help of darkly elegant makeup and hair by beauty artist Carolina Rojas.
