Modular Camping Kits

The KIDO!T Modular Outdoor Adventure Kit Encourages Children to Build

The KIDO!T modular outdoor adventure kit is a concept designed by Chenyu to encourage children to participate more actively in camping and outdoor activities. Rather than adapting adult-sized equipment, the system gives children their own modular gear centered around inflatable building blocks that can be assembled into forts, seating, shelters, and imaginative play spaces. Each lightweight module combines a durable nylon exterior with an inflatable rubber chamber for structure, while integrated magnetic connectors allow the pieces to snap together quickly without tools or complex instructions, making the system accessible for independent play.

The concept is tailored to different developmental stages, with play experiences adapting to the needs of younger children, older kids, and teenagers. Alongside the modular blocks, KIDO!T incorporates activity modules that encourage exploration, creativity, and engagement with the surrounding environment rather than passive entertainment. By giving children ownership over part of the campsite, the design transforms outdoor recreation into an interactive experience that promotes problem-solving, collaboration, and imaginative play. T
