The 'kotatsu' is a Japanese pillow, which actually takes on the role of a table and a blanket as well. This versatile product will allow users to stay warm while enjoying breakfast in bed or completing work on top of the built-in table.
This ancient Japanese pillow is a modernized version of the kotatsu, which was used in the 14th century as a heating device. Back then the heat was provided with charcoal, while today the product uses electricity.
The product begins as an average table and has a heater placed on the downward facing surface. The double table top can then be lifted so a blanket can be placed between the two surfaces in order to contain heat. Add a laptop streaming Netflix and a warm drink to this dream-like scene, and you might never want to leave home until winter is over.
