The Jamaican Tourism Industry Launch Relief Efforts for the Country

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jamaican Tourism Industry has launched various relief efforts to support frontline healthcare workers including a virtual reggae concert. The performance was streamed live to the VP Records' YouTube channel and is available to be replayed.

Moreover, businesses that are part of the hospitality service are banding together to provide ventilators to hospitals, rooms for those in quarantine, and more. In addition to these fundraising efforts, the Ministry of Tourism also offered free online training for those who worked in the tourism sector who are currently unemployed. The online certifications will help ensure these workers have continued advancement opportunities during these challenging times.
