'Balloons' by Irina Popa-Vesa is a Black-and-White Spread

 - Aug 11, 2010   Updated: Jul 12 2011
Irina Popa-Vesa's 'Balloons' photography series, is visually beautiful, highlighting the airy, fun feeling of balloons while juxtaposing the severity of black-and-white photography.

Irina Popa-Vesa manages to capture balloons in their signature style, without making them look like a cheesy 6-year-old birthday party prop. The model in the shoot is perfectly styled, especially in the photo where she's dressed as a clown, mimicking balloons as they appear in everyday society.

Implications - In today's fast-moving society, there is a strong desire amongst consumers for products that generate nostalgic emotions or feelings. Products with which consumers can share a sense of familiarity or a personal connection will appeal to a large audience in today's market. Businesses that can transport their clients back to simpler times will benefit in tremendous ways.
