IKEA's Swedish Wind Farm Will Power 17 Stores in Sweden

IKEA's Swedish wind farm might sound like the last thing you'd expect the mega-chain of retail stores to invest in, but it's one more piece of evidence that proves how forward-thinking the company is when it comes to clean-energy concerns.

Set the be completed in 2012, IKEA's Swedish wind farm will generate an amount of energy commensurate to what 17 of its locations would use over the course of a year. The sweeping project will go a long way towards helping the company reach their goal of operating under 100 percent renewable energy.
