IKEA Japan recently expanded its menu to offer a series of vegan items including gan cabbage rolls, plant-based lasagne, kebab salads and wraps, and vegan hot dogs. For its consumers looking for a treat, the furniture brand also added plant-based chocolate mousse.
The Swedish brand stated that its new additions to the menu are part of IKEA's global commitment to sustainability, and reflect its carbon-reducing efforts. Traditional meat is one of the most impact environmental factors as forests are torn down in order to raise and feed pastures.
As more consumers opt to eat plant-based foods, brands, like IKEA Japan, will continue to respond by offering a variety of plant-powered options to entice conscious consumers.
