Surreal Statement Piece Editorials

The i-D Summer 2014 Julia Nobis Photoshoot Shows Striking Items

The i-D Magazine Summer 2014 Julia Nobis photoshoot provides a rather intense look at the model. Photographer Willy Vanderperre stuck to the basis in a minimalist manner by focusing on one or two clothing items in each shot, zeroing in on simplicity and style all at once.

Working alongside Vanderperre for this i-D Magazine production was stylist Olivier Rizzo. Instead of dressing up Nobis in an exaggerated manner with a host of accessories and over the top apparel, he brought the scene to a relatable level with thick crew neck sweaters, athletic vests and a basic black blazer.

Despite the relaxed nature of this editorial, the incorporation of couture pieces still set it over the edge. Sheer plastic booties make it apparent that viewers are taking in a chic, high end set.
