Ibn Jasper and Converse Reunite for a Motorsport-Inspired Sneaker

Ibn Jasper has joined Converse to create two motorsport-inspired designs for the classic ‘One Star Ox’ silhouette. The TV show ‘Overhaulin’ is one of the key influences for the collaboration, with Jasper attributing the concept design to the popular show. The uppers are crafted using durable tumbled leather panels, and the sneaker features snakeskin accents across its expanse. Motorcycle motifs like tire pressure indicators decorate the midsole while racing flags sit on the tongues.

Converse’s history in American racing is at the forefront of this collaboration, arriving just after Ibn Jasper’s iteration of the ‘Pro Leather’ Converse silhouette in 2019. The Ibn Jasper x Converse One Star will be available in ‘Black/White/Spectra Yellow’ and ‘White/Black’ on the Converse website this May 20, 2022.
