The Hushbook app makes it easy to unfollow annoying friends on Facebook. The app does this with a Tinder-like approach, streaming your friend list and then letting you decide who to keep and who to axe via left and right swiping. Everyone who gets a left swipe is unfollowed from Facebook, although they still remain your friend.
The Hushbook app has a counter that tracks how many people you've unfollowed. There's also a separate page that shows your friends list, with those you still follow being given a small, blue "following" icon.
The Hushbook app is a new approach to curating social media. Granted, cleaning up a newsfeed or timeline isn't the hardest thing in the world, but it has never been as easy as simply swiping left or right. It's not hard to imagine Hushbook being used to filter out unwanted posts from other social networks, should its makers gain access to these networks APIs.
