Cannabis-Friendly Modern Cabinets

Alter Interiors Designs the High Bar with Structural Forms

San Francisco-based design studio Alter Interiors creates the High Bar, which is a cabinet that caters to the ritual of using marijuana. Founders Jenny Magdol and Steffie Oehm design the cabinet to create a convenient way of storing accessories that have more functions that are specific to cannabis.

The studio notes that "Humans have always found occasion for and made a spectacle of their elixirs and we have always designed spaces and furnishings to ritualize those elixirs." The overall design nods to the look of traditional liquor cabinets that have been used to conceal and showcase alcohol throughout history. The cabinet is a self-contained tall structure that is designed with the storage and preparation of cannabis at the forefront.
