The Hello app by Fagor created by Benjamin Riot and Valentin Sollier capitalizes on a newer "sharing is caring" philosophy. But is it perhaps its taking it too far? The Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique students have created an app that will bring together people who need to do laundry, with people who have a washing machine.
Instead of scrambling for quarters and avoiding strangers at your local laundry mat, you can do your laundry in the comfortable space of a home, or at least drop it off. The Internet and social media have people connecting for all sorts of different reasons -- for convenience, necessity or just mutual interest. Why not extend those reasons to include the daily hassle of your laundry? The new Hello app is only one half of the project; the other is a small, easy transportable washing machine and basket combo with a high storing capacity.
